    Dr Richard Hagstrom has been a dentist in La Mesa, California for over 20 years. He has been a dentist in San Diego since graduating number 1 in his class from USC Dental School in 1987. His original dental office in El Cajon was established in 1987. Dr Hagstrom has been providing his fearful patients with Sleep Dentistry for over 8 years and holds one of the first Oral Conscious Sedation Permits issued in the State of California. Dr Hagstrom routinely does Extreme Smile Make Over to help “create beautiful smiles to last a lifetime.” Part of the process for an Extreme Smile Makeover is the, in office, Zoom Whitening procedure. Dr Hagstrom uses the new Zoom 2.5 light that is now available from Discus Dental. With the recent addition of Digital X-rays Dr Hagstrom uses Digital photos as well as Digital Imaging software to diagnose and help create that beautiful smile you’ve been wanting! His office is Kid friendly. Having children of his own makes him a natural to treat your children. He also does a lot for the community and especially for his Kid friendly charity, the Smiles for Life Foundation which has raised over $24 million over the last 10 years. 100% of the donations go directly to help unfortunate children who need dental and medical treatment and cannot afford this care. He supports the San Diego State University Aztecs Basketball, Baseball and Football Teams as well as whitens the teeth of the SDSU Aztec Cheerleaders and Dance Team. He also Whitens the teeth of the Charger Girls. He has done Oral Cancer Screenings for the San Diego Padres for many years at Spring Training, while pioneering the new Visilite oral cancer screening system. He also sponsors the Chollas Lake Challenger Little League Team.
